Do front load washers need pedestals.

I did not get them and have been getting along just fine for six years without them. We are building a house and need to decide before the sheetrock goes up whether or not to have pedestals for our front load washer and dryer so they can be flush against the wall. A laundry pedestal is an accessory that goes underneath your front load washer or dryer. We haven t had front load before.

Pedestals in my opinion are just marketing genius. There are two main benefits to using a laundry pedestal. I figured dryers have been front loading all my life and i never had a pedestal for my dryer. Do i need a pedestal for a front load washer.

Why do i suddenly need pedestals now that my washing machine is a front loader. Bending over is good for me.
