Diy remove elmers glue from carpet.
When the glue starts to become pliable use your scraper tool to work it out of the concrete.
Work in small sections so that you can remove the softened carpet glue before the water cools.
If the glue has softened gently scrape it away with a plastic scraper or edge of a butter knife.
Apply a drop or two of liquid dish detergent to a wet paper towel and gently dab it into the glue stain gently pressing it onto the stain working to loosen the stain from your carpet and wiping up the remainder of the stain.
Check the spot after 30 minutes.
Allow the hot water to sit for a few minutes to loosen the glue.
Cover the glue stain with a thin cloth.
Rub slightly to remove the adhesive residue.
Pour the boiling water over the carpet glue and allow it to sit there for about three to five minutes.
Take as much glue off the carpet as you can with the towel.
Wring out most of the excess moisture then press the cloth onto the problem area.
Dampen a clean cloth or paper towel with rubbing alcohol.
Wipe the glue off the carpet with a dry hand towel if the glue is still wet.
