Dish Soap On Carpet Stains

In a small bowl combine 1 cup hot white distilled vinegar 1 2 cup hydrogen peroxide 3 and 1 2 teaspoon of liquid dish detergent.

To make a carpet stain cleaning solution add 1 2 tsp. Allow sitting for 10 to 15 minutes. Let the water soak into the carpet and detergent stain to loosen dried detergent that is stuck onto the carpet fibers. Squeeze the water from the sponge over the detergent stain.

Some carpet stain removal products can be of great benefit for combating many types of carpet stains. Use 1 4 cup of white vinegar 1 tbsp. While it may be tempting to scour the carpet this will seriously damage your carpet. Use a sponge to apply mixture to the stained area.

Dip a clean white towel or paper towel into the water soap mixture and gently blot at the stain with it. For bad spills place a half inch thick stack of white paper towels over the stain after step 2 then lay a glass baking dish on top for 15 minutes. When carpet is completely dry sprinkle baking soda on the area where the stain was located. Mix the hydrogen peroxide and dish soap in a bowl.

Dab at the stain using gentle pressure but do not scrub. Submerge a sponge in the water. When using a steam cleaning carpet machine liquid dish soap solutions are not appropriate. Rub the mixture into the carpet and rinse sponge between applications.

Slowly pour the soapy vinegar over the stain. Wait one hour or until the carpet dries completely. Of dawn dish soap and fill with water. As long as you see the stain lightening repeat these steps until it is gone.

Slowly pour the liquid over the baking soda and stain. Have a stack of clean white cloths handy. Sprinkle with 1 4 cup of baking soda and rub this into the stain. Liquid dish soap to 32 oz.

Protein stains on your carpet such as cat urine or spilled milk pose a cleaning challenge. Spray area liberally and let soak for 5 10 minutes and then proceed with blotting with a clean dry towel until stain is removed. For tougher stains like chocolate blood coffee and wine add 1 4 cup ammonia or white vinegar to the solution. Use a cleaning product containing enzymes such as dawn plus to tackle protein stains.

Start at the outside of the spot and work towards the center to prevent spreading the stain. Using a soft brush or cloth rub the mixture into the carpet. It even works on tablecloths that have been washed and dried. Dawn liquid dish soap effectively cuts through grease making it suitable for removing greasy carpet stains.

Use a dry cloth to blot away any remaining moisture.
